18th 19th C. Chinese Export Lacquer Tea Caddy Qing Box Gilt Metal Liner Antique
I am helping my daughter get started on ebay and you can check out my seller reputation under mayeeden. I have been selling on ebay since 2000.
This antique chinese lacquered tea caddy still has the original pewter or lead box inserts.
Condition:
The gilt painting is worn in places and there is some surface missing in a few places also where it has peeled away. The original carved wooden feet are still attached. The top cover of the box shows much wear and loss of decoration. The tops of the insert boxes are a bit wavy since the metal is very soft. Lock mechanism missing. Being sold as - is for restoration.
Measurements:
approx. 8 1/2" wide x depth of 6 1/2" x 5" tall including the feet. Weight before packing: 2 lb. 12 oz.
