Armenia 175th Anniversary of Alexander Mantashian Full Sheet 8 Stamps MNH
- Condition mint never hinged. This is a large sheet of 8 beautiful stamps. This stamp is part of the World Famous Armenians series celebrating the accomplishments of famous Armenians around the world. The stamp is designed in the form of an old banknote.  Mantashian was a prominent businessman, benefactor and great oil magnate of the early 20
th
century. The background of the stamp depicts the Armenian Church of St. John the Baptist situated near the Champs Elysees in Paris and the facade of the building of the Union of Armenian Artists of Tbilisi (now Tbilisi Academic Theater named after Rustaveli). Both of these institutions were built with funds donated by Mantashian. After the construction of the Armenian Church in Paris, Mantashian was awarded the Order of the Legion of Honor.

I want to note that there may be very small creases on the edges of some full sheets.  This is unfortunately due to handling by postal workers, the tiny creases are already there when the sheets are purchased at the post office.  All of my Armenian stamps are purchased directly from post offices in Yerevan, Armenia.  I don't purchase Armenian stamps from secondhand sources, not even stamp dealers.
If you purchase multiple stamps, you will only pay shipping once.  I always combine shipping.
