    book
in fine dust jacket.  Great copy!
The author’s first tour of operations was on light bombers attacking French ports, in particular Brest Harbour – the most heavily defended target in the world when the German battleships were lodged there. The author was one of the few who completed the tally of thirty sorties. He started a second tour against North Sea shipping, then transferred to the Far East when Japan entered the war. Later he was involved in the fall of Burma in which the lack of preparation by Command for the campaign became only too apparent. A gripping, personal memoir of a young combat pilot’s war.
