The "Church Army On Active Service" is not a historical record of the War Work of the Society, but is intended rather to show, in a series of pictures, the wide diversity of its activities in this War.  Even in this it cannot be a complete record by reason of paper shortage and the difficulties of obtaining suitable photographs from the most distant theatres of war.
