    Description

    DHT-1 - Insert the probe into the bale and determine its moisture level.
    Insert the probe at a 45% angle into the bale to determine its moisture level.  Do not rock the unit back and forth upon inserting or removing the probe.  This can a future break of the tip.
    Square Bale:  Insert 5" in at 45% angle / top or bottom (not side)  Round Bale:  Insert 5" on the side not the flat side / 5% off reading if baling Grass Hay.
    TESTING THE MOISTURE LEVELS OF STORED HAY
    After the baling process, hay is stacked and awaits sale. Testing at this stage is vital for the same reasons that stood prior to the baling process. With a hand-held electronic probe tester, such as the AgraTronix DHT-1, you are able to simply insert the probe into the bale and determine its moisture level.  18" Probe
