This is the extremely rare sample version of the "Uncle Scrooge" euro coin presented Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001. The Disney character-inspired coin has been distributed in schools to promote European Union's single currency awareness, as the euro's official introduction in 2002 approaches. This sample version never made it to mass production because they changed the front and backside of the coin later on for the mass produced coin, what makes this coin very rare!

Comes in a very nice display box, capsule and coin bag,
Very limited with only 250 pieces worldwide!,
Has a weight of around 32 grams and is plated with 24K .999 Gold.
