Foamboard metal hangers will hold up to 1 pound or 2 pounds if you use 2 hangers
Foam board picture hangers are designed to hang prints, posters or similar items that have been mounted on foamboard (foamcore board) or other lightweight backing board but are not framed. The foam hanger has sharp metal prongs that press into the backside of foamboard. The foam board hanger can be repositioned or removed from your artwork and will only leave two small slits in the back of the foam board.
Each sawtooth hanger can support up to one pound, you can use additional hangers on each work to support more weight. For larger pieces like posters, we suggest two sawtooth hangers to support the weight and help keep the poster level on the wall.
Use these foamboard hangers to display your foamcore mounted photos, posters, prints and maps. Excellent hanger for foam backed posters or prints.
Do not use foam core board hangers on any board less than 1/4" thick or the hanger prongs will penetrate through to the front surface.
What People on the Internet are saying about these hangers:
"Just received these hangers today and got my cardboard backed picture up on the wall. There are a lot of stores who have sold cardboard backed, framed pictures, and they come with the hangers pre-installed in the back of the picture, but what happens when it falls out and you lose it? Or you buy a picture from a garage sale or clearance bin and the hanger isn't there? What if you mount a picture or painting on foam core yourself?
Because they are sawtooth, you can easily level the picture. The prongs are rigid but you can bend them to get the angle/depth that you need to hang the item, making it more flush or stand further out.
I am very shocked that none of my local hardware, craft and department stores carry these. I could not find these anywhere in town, or nearby. I had to order them online and these are the best price I could find. I hope they keep selling these, in case I should ever need more. "
"These hangers are specifically designed for foam boards, with up-angled tines to let gravity do the work of holding them in place. They look very flimsy but they work. I used just a single one to hang a 24" X 36" 3/4" thick foam board. That board has an additional 3/16" matte board with a photograph glued on, so the whole thing really weighs a lot. Conventional straight in hangers simply pulled out trying to do the same job. "
"I used these for thin foam boards from Hobby Lobby to which I mounted photos I shot. You can bend the insert tabs a bit to decrease the depth to which they will penetrate the board. My foam board is about 1/4". I had many waiting-to-hang mounted prints leaning up against the wall on the mantle until I found these little gems. And only one is required for a 16x20 print. When hung, the prints stand off the wall just enough to be classy. Just make sure you get them exactly centered on the back of the print. "
"I am using these to hang pictures that I mounted on foam board and they work great. As others have mentioned you can bend the two spikes at different angles so you can get them to work with different thickness foam boards (3/16" boards are fine). "
"These little things are quick, easy and reliable for hanging matted art work. I've found a single one can hold up to a 16"x20" piece. Two for larger or heavier pieces. "
"We have some small cork boards with foam backing that we wanted to hang, and these got the job done. Easy to push them into the foam back, and then a nail in the wall and the job was done. "
"I take and hang a fair number of pictures on foam board. This is the first product I have found that gives me control in the hanging with the tapes that tear up paint and dry wall. "
"These work perfect for the diamond paintings I mount on the foam board. I do add a drop of glue to the hangers, so they stay in longer "
"Worked fine with 1/8" foam core, as long as you didn't use too much pressure. None of MY paintings were damaged. Very Sturdy. I used tape to secure them, but they seem very strong. "
"I needed to be able to hang foam board with string. These worked very well and were easy to move if needed."
"Actually, these work pretty good. Be careful how you insert them because at the wrong angle they might puncture threw the foam board. "
"These worked perfect to hang a foam picture "
"These work great to hang the foam award board we had sitting around the office"
"These are very durable and the more you place on the back of a foam board the more weight you can add to the board."
"Works as advertised. I use them to help hang cardboard items to the wall. They are a bit small for use with MDF, but otherwise work great! "
"There are the perfect size. They are exactly as I thought they would be. Perfect for small hanging projects. "
"Why aren't these in the stores? The perfect solution for mounting temporary artwork. They easily turn foam board into displays and galleries."
"Work great and make it super easy to hang foam backed photos "
"These work wonderfully. I used them so hang up my artwork in a gallery show and they worked perfectly. "
