1905
, Irving W. Rice & Company was launched in New York City as a seller of head vases, perfume bottles, salt and peppershakers, crystal accessories, and table crystal gifts. It flourished under the direction of Irving W. Rice as president and Lou D. Bloom as sales manager.
An interesting pairing: What could probably be used as a toothbrush holder (though many toothbrushes
today are too girthy to fit inside the holder) is used as a holder for a set of 4 demitasse spoons that are gold-plated and made in Korea. The holder is also nicely trimmed in gold which was painted by hand (see picture 5).
Condition is excellent. Super clean and shiny. The stand is 4" high and 2 3/4" wide. The footprint is 2 1/4". The spoons are almost 5" long, and they hold maybe a half-teaspoon of sugar, each.
A super pairing, if you ask me!
