Description
Listing will be removed from ebay from time to time and updated with any new information I may have.Functional & Profitable Melco G3 DTG (Direct To Garment) Textile Printer
* Sale includes: whatever I have in inventory of remaining inks & pretreatment fluids (not pictured) Current estimated value of over 0 and decreasing slightly as consumption occurs.
* When printing white ink, pretreatment is very critical. Application must be thorough and evenly applied. I use a Wagner sprayer and paint roller to do so.
* Pictures are shown for representation of machine capabilities. Not for resale or sold unless they are our customers' proprietary products.
* While the ink costs may seem high at purchasing, consumption on inks is low.
* Allow approximately 8-10 minutes per shirt if large image (12 square inch) with white underbase & then color. Color ink only (on white or light shirts), allow about 3-5 minutes for 12 sq in.
* We purchased this unit from Melco Rep in 2015 and it has not been run much. I have learned a lot through trial and error and the most important part is maintenance. It doesn't take much but it does require it. Cannot be lazy about it or any other inkjet printers, especially inkjet printers with white ink.
NOTES:
2020-01-27: Capping Station replaced with a spare included.
2020-01-09: I discovered that the MelcoRIP is no longer supported. ie, I can no longer deactivate and reactivate. However, the developer is iProofSystems.com. I have downloaded their trial software but have not yet purchased it. It looks identical to Melco RIP but is supposed to have more options (not sure). I think once upgraded (9), the owner can activate on 3 different PCs (just like Melco RIP, which I made the mistake of not doing that when I first received the software.) * As it is, this purchase does not transfer the RIP software to you. Please go to iProofSystems.com and download the RIP upgrade that is for Melco G3. You can play around with it and try to get a feel for how it works. Without a license validation, you can still print to it but it prints a watermark. * So please understand, you will need to purchase a RIP upgrade upon purchasing this printer to print without a watermark. If I make the purchase of the RIP, then the eventual buyer will lose 1 validation since it will not transfer.
I recently purchased supplies from https://www.garmentprinterink.com/collections/rip-programs/products/iproof-dtg-rip-pro-version-6?_pos=1&_sid=5e35cb23b&_ss=r
They are very responsive and can help with software and supplies.
