They are Operation Upkeep (The Dams Raid); Operation Jericho (The low level raid on Amiens Prison to free French resistance fighters) and Operation Thunderbolt (the German "Channel Dash" by three major warships.) The innovation in the book is more with the illustrations, although the text follows each operation ins a detailed, comprehensive and gripping narrative, Much, and effective, use is made of diagrams, plans, cutaways, aircraft profiles and maps to enhance the understanding of the missions and to help clarify technical and operational details. In addition, many of the photographs are enhanced to give a softer edge and an artistic touch which gives a freshness, particularly to those images that have appeared in previous publications. In all there are more than 80 illustrations, most full page with some maps and aircraft profiles/cutaways double page.
