    Jack Champ was a Lieutenant in the 2nd/6th Australian Infantry Battalion and was captured in 1941. After taking part in two escapes he was sent to Colditz, which although lauded by the Germans as escape proof, had more escape attempts than from any other similar size prison camp during the war.
