    Notes:
    1. The recommended setting above for sublimation may need
adjustments for best results. Sublimation setting will vary
depending on the heat press brand and model, ink and paper
    and atmospheric conditions.
    2. The use of Nomex pad or felt pad and the specific layering
    of the tile
and transfer allow the tile to press into the pad
    which
    help wrap the transfer around
    the tapered edge of the
    tile to
produce a continuous distribution of ink
    to the entire
    tile
    and its
    tapered edges.
    3. To avoid ink blow-back place a sheet of scratch paper on
    top
of the Nomax pad/felt pad. This will extend the life of the
    Nomax pad and prevent discoloration
    and contamination
    from
    the ink to the pad.
    Sublimation Instructions:
Layer the press from the bottom pad to the top heat platen as follows:
    1. teflon sheet or scratched paper
    2. Nomex pad
    3. Scratch paper (optional but recommended)
    4. transfer paper (face up)
    5. substrate (tile - face down)

    Steps:
    1. Wipe the substrate with lind-free cloth to remove any debris
    if necessary
    2. Position the substrate face down onto the transfer paper
    3. tape 2 ends of the substrate to the trans
    fer
    paper using heat
    tape
    4. Place thin piece of scratch paper/butcher paper onto Nomex
pad to protect pad from blow-back ink
    5. Place transfer paper and substrate in the the press onto the
    Nomex pad (transfer p
aper is under the tile face up; tile is on
    top
    face down)
    6. Place teflon sheet or scratch paper over the transfer paper
    and
    substrate
    7. Press items using the sublimation settings above - See
    above
for dwell time for various sizes
    8. Remove items from the press immediately. Use heat
    resistance
gloves - the items will be very hot
