Description
Featured here is a very hard to find bottle from what I think is the 1940's. It is a bottle from the FIRST AID SYRUP COMPANY OF AMERICA.It stands 8" tall and is lithographed with red, blue & yellow paint. The paint is in rather nice condition for the age, but does have a little smudging on the far left edge of the label as can be seen on the photos. The glass itself is perfect having no chips, cracks etc. It is 7 oz in capacity.
The bottom is embossed "DURAGLAS" and has numbers 3 & 48 with a logo of some sort in the middle, which I believe represents March, 1948. Not sure, but it would make sense.
The back of the bottle is lithographed in yellow and starts out by saying "This First Aid beverage contains Cane Fru, a scientifically concentrated blended of cane sugar and fruit elements: a sugar syrup at its best, also carbonated water etc etc etc". "Contents 7 fluid ounces, Bottled by a licensed bottler. Authorized by the First Aid Syrup Company of America".
The print on the back is hard to read on the photo because it is yellow and the glass is clear but the print is bold & readable when looking at the bottle.
