    Description

    Offered here is a LARGE, soda water bottle. It is emerald green, with ribbed sides. The neck is embossed: "FOX." There is a small paper label on the upper shoulders, and a larger label in the center. The labels reads: "10 Cents Plus Deposit...FOX...OLD EMERALD Pale Dry GINGER ALE...Formulated And Bottle Only By J.G. FOX & Co....Net Contents 29 Fluid Ounces...SEATTLE, U.S.A." The underside is embossed: "24" - which is probably the year of production. J.G. Fox was the "Secretary of Seattle Brewing & Malting Co." until 1916, when prohibition forced many brewers to produce non-alcoholic beverages. The bottle measures just under 12 inches tall. The base is 3 & 3/8 inches wide. The glass BOTTLE is in EXCELLENT condition, with no chips or cracks. The paper LABELS are probably GOOD. On the smaller label near the top, the red "10 Cents Plus Deposit" is significantly faded. There is also a small tear in this area. On the lower label, there is a paper chip between the letters "A" and "L" in the word "ALE". This label also has some soiling. All in all, the bottle is still very nice. Examples of this Seattle, Washington / Pacific Northwest area soda water bottle seldom show up, with the label intact. Bottle and labels are guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
