Vtg Hand Carved Mother Of Pearl Small Open Salt / Caviar Dish & Spoon, Set Of 6

Description

Very nice and unique set of petite open salts or caviar dishes with spoons. There are 6 dishes and 6 spoons. They are made of mother of pearl.
In addition to their size, the other outstanding feature is the hand carved texture on the underside of the dishes. It’s like ribbing and there is a flat spot made to allow the dish to sit properly.
The spoons are about 1.8” and the dishes about 2” in length and about 0.6” high.
They are in very good condition. There are no breaks or cracks in the dishes. One spoon has a tiny nick on the top edge. That spoon also has a naturally formed little round opening that doesn’t go through to the other side. See last 2 photos. The dish edges were not sanded smooth so there is natural shell texture there.
You can expect variations in color. Some spoons have a bit of golden shading while the dishes are somewhat lighter than they appear in the photos.
